Pillar 1: To Liberate

Breaking free from dependecy
In a world dominated by economic systems that thrive on consumption and control, the idea of personal freedom can feel distant. Many of us are locked into careers that don't align with our values, relying on industries that prioritize profit over well-being. This system encourages dependency—on grocery stores for food, corporations for income, and governments for stability.
To Liberate means stepping outside this cycle and reclaiming control over the essentials of life. It’s about recognizing that freedom isn’t just financial; it’s the ability to produce, create, and sustain without relying heavily on external forces. Capitalism is a flawed system because it prioritizes profit over people. Corporate greed, rising costs, and reliance on fragile systems ensure that profits are maximized at the expense of the individual. This system isn’t designed to empower you—it’s designed to keep you reliant and subservient.
"The gross national product does not allow for the health of our children, the quality of their education, or the joy of their play. It does not include the beauty of our poetry or the strength of our marriages; the intelligence of our public debate or the integrity of our public officials. It measures neither our wit nor our courage; neither our wisdom nor our learning; neither our compassion nor our devotion to our country; it measures everything, in short, except that which makes life worthwhile" - Bobby Kennedy (1968)
Wage Inequality grows, unions decline
As wages stagnate and wealth becomes increasingly concentrated at the top, the average worker faces more financial insecurity. The decline of unions reduces bargaining power, leaving individuals vulnerable to exploitation and limiting their ability to advocate for fair wages and conditions.
The food industy is ran by 10 companies
A handful of corporations control most of the global food supply, leading to monopolies that prioritize profit over public health. This results in lower food quality, inflated prices, and farming practices that harm the environment and communities.
Meaningless work and burnout
Modern economies glorify overwork and productivity, leaving little time for self-development, rest, or connection to nature. This leads to burnout, dissatisfaction, and a lack of fulfillment in life.
Building self-sufficiency and career freedom
Liberation begins with self-sufficiency—the ability to provide for your basic needs. This could mean growing your own food, generating renewable energy, or even learning new trades that reduce your reliance on modern conveniences. It also extends to career freedom—creating income streams that align with your passions and give you autonomy.
We focus on practical ways to build this independence:
- Homesteading and Small-Scale Farming – Learn how to cultivate food, care for livestock, and preserve the harvest.
- Alternative Incomes – Explore side hustles, remote work, and business ventures that foster career freedom.
- Practical Skills for Independence – From woodworking to DIY construction, developing essential skills helps you build and repair what you need.
True liberation comes not from isolation but from building resilient systems—personally and within communities—that reduce reliance on fragile structures.
We Need Community!
By growing our own food, generating renewable energy, and fostering skills-sharing networks, communities reduce reliance on corporations and centralized institutions. This independence allows us to meet our basic needs, free from the exploitative cycles of wage labor and consumerism. Sustainable living and collective well-being are not only possible but also empowering alternatives to capitalism's extractive model.
